|Morgana Cryptoria lipstick in Apple Plum|

As I've mentioned before, Morgana Cryptoria lipsticks are some of the most-hyped indie products of the blogging world. They offer traditional colors, completely unique shades, matte lipsticks, glitter lipsticks, glosses, and even hair dye and other cosmetics.
When I heard that Apple Plum was going to be discontinued, I panicked! - I had been considering it for a long time, ogling swatches but not certain it'd suit me, and I decided to take the chance while I still could.

In May, I went to England to spend three weeks with my guy, and we went to Holland for a week during that time. It was surreal, looking out the bus and ferry windows and thinking "oh hey now I'm in France/ Belgium/ Holland!"
And my favorite thing about being over there, after the company, the sights, and the experience in general of course, was SHOPPING! Every drugstore in Holland seemed to have tons of GOSH, Catrice and Essence products, including the limited edition collections - like Catrice's Revoltaire, from which I bought a few items :D

If you follow my original blog The Cheap Chick, you already know that I love bargains and freebies (but who doesn't?) - so it shouldn't come as a surprise that I love to get those $10-off-any-purchase cards in the mail from Victoria's Secret!

Gotta spend it on lipstick, always. One of my all-time favorite lipsticks is from Victoria's Secret, I think the formula is great and at $10 off, the price is definitely right for me! Plus, who can resist that limited edition packaging? It's adorable!

Juicy, sheer lip colors are "in" this summer, and I know YSL, Chanel etc all have beautiful options but drugstore lippies are more my style (and price range)! So I present Rimmel's Berry Queen for your viewing pleasure.
Don't be deceived by the brick-red bullet. Berry Queen is a lot less serious than it looks :)

I don't want to put you off from ordering cosmetics online, but this is one major discrepancy between the color represented by the website and the color of the item in reality ...
I won this Milani lipstick in a giveaway, and had looked up the color, Beloved, online to see if I would like it. It looked like a pinkish nude, which seemed good to me. The bullet of the lipstick looks pretty close to the online "swatch," too, but it's a whole different story on application.

It's cheap, why not? - a mantra that can lead to trouble, depending on how often you repeat it (and your definition of "cheap"). In this case, the Wet n Wild Mega Shield Lip Color SPF 15 range has a retail price of only $0.79*, so as long as I don't go too crazy, it should be okay ...
This time around I selected a color I had actually seen swatches of online, not trusting myself to grab another one at random lest it should contain frosty shimmer. Presenting the vivid orange (Tangerine Tango, anyone?) Salsa Lessons!

Last month, I finally got my first (and also second) Morgana Cryptoria lipstick. For those of you who don't know, Morgana has earned a cult-like following for the fantastic range of lipsticks and glosses offered at the shop - anything from traditional colors like pink to way-out-there colors like yellow with purple duochrome (seriously)!
After battling my jealousy of everyone's gorgeous Morgana lipsticks for about a year, I finally caved and placed my first order during a sale. The 1920s collection was discounted, so I happily ordered Speakeasy, a "creamy raspberry" according to the item listing.
