The second of three NYX reds

Disclaimer: I still think NYX's sale fail was a disgrace and does fit the definition of a bait-and-switch, so I do not want to support them or encourage people to buy from them. However, there are many ways to get your hands on these products if you want them - Cherry Culture, eBay, BeautyJoint.com, Ulta, blogsales, etc - so I will still feature them from time to time!

Since it can be hard to find NYX swatches, I've decided to compare the three reds I own - Hebe, Snow White and Hero (and the Hot Red jumbo pencil as a bonus). I've already covered Snow White as my HG red (post here).
NYX Round Lipstick in Hebe
First up is Hebe, the least red of the three - although it looks pretty reddish on its own, in comparison to the other two it comes off more pink.
{more info and swatches after the jump}
Back-and-forth swipe of Hebe on otherwise bare skin; direct sunlight, no flash
Hebe has a metallic (or you could call it "frost") finish and is definitely more on the strawberry side of red.
Naked lips for reference; direct sunlight, no flash
Hebe applied straight from the bullet onto otherwise bare lips; direct sunlight, no flash
On the lips, the metallic finish is fairly flattering, and can add to the illusion of fuller lips. It does appear red, but a bit less bold than a full-on RED red (if that even makes sense), so Hebe might be a good choice for anyone who is intimidated by fire-engine reds. Redredred.

Buying info: NYX Round lipsticks can be found at Ulta for about $5, though they are often buy one get one 50% off. They are also available at many etailers like BeautyJoint.com, Cherry Culture, and of course eBay, for around $2.50 - $5.

Next up will be Hero, and then the comparison swatches :)
