Juicy, sheer lip colors are "in" this summer, and I know YSL, Chanel etc all have beautiful options but drugstore lippies are more my style (and price range)! So I present Rimmel's
Berry Queen for your viewing pleasure.

Don't be deceived by the brick-red bullet.
Berry Queen is a lot less serious than it looks :)

This is a lipstick with a lot of slip to it. It's almost more like a tinted balm as far as opacity is concerned (it isn't especially moisturizing for your lips though), and it's very glossy.

Though it looks hot pink in the swatch, it definitely appears more retro cherry-red on the lips. The bad news is, this will slide all over the place - you may need a reverse lip liner to stop bleeding/ feathering, and you will need to reapply often.
As with the other Rimmel lipstick I have, the plastic purple tube looks really cheap, and the playdough-like scent makes it pretty obvious that it is not a high-end product. For those reasons, I really am not drawn to Rimmel colors too often.
Buying info:
Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks run about $6, although you can usually find a $2 off coupon
online. They're sold in stores like
Walgreens, Target, CVS, Rite Aid,
etc. as well as at
Ulta.
this looks gorgeous! i love the rimmel moisture renew lipsticks but this is the kinda shade I'd veer away from when im shopping for a new shade cos it looks kinda dark n daunting. it's definitely much more subtle and pretty on than I'd have expected! :)
